Today is Field Day! Just a few reminders:
*Please have your child bring a water bottle.
*Your child may wish to wear a hat or sunglasses.
*You may want to apply sunscreen or bug spray to your child. Please note: Staff is not permitted to apply sunscreen or bug spray to your child.
*Activities are heavy on the water theme. Please send your child with a towel and a change of clothes inside a bag that they can put their wet clothes in.
*If you are coming to pick up your child early, please be patient. Students will be outside so it might take a few extra minutes to get them ready to leave the building.
*Lastly, we always recommend that your child's items are labeled with their name in case they get mixed up or misplaced.

We will be offering Ice Cream Days on Mondays and Fridays in June. Selection may vary and once sold out--there will be no more Ice Cream Days this school year.

It's that time of year! Let's bring all of the checked out library books back to their school home for the summer! Mrs. Freundel's Class won First Place for returning all of their books first and will receive a reward. Mr. Kennedy said the Second Place class will get a reward also.

Staff and students receive the MAEOE Green School Certification at Sandy Point State Park during the MAEOE Youth Summit.

"Each month at Mt. Hope Elementary there will be one character trait that we will encourage our students to demonstrate. For the month of May the trait was PERSEVERANCE. Perseverance is defined as refusing to give up when life gest hard. Please help us congratulate the following students who were awarded the star student of the month for PERSEVERANCE: Arya, Elizabeth, Hallie, Isaiah, Jordan, Empress, Aiden, Walker, Cali, Keagan, Elizabeth, and Ana. "
